The City has evaluated existing and future parking needs in Downtown Morgan Hill on several occasions; in 2002, 2004, 2006 and in 2008. In 2008, a Downtown Parking Resources Management Strategy (DKS Associates) was developed in conjunction with the preparation of the November 2009 Downtown Specific Plan. With the City preparing to experience development of several downtown private properties, new public investment in two active public park spaces, parking capacity in Downtown Morgan Hill has again been assessed in 2016.

The Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras Festival, now in its 37th year of turning Memorial Day weekend into a celebration of the mushroom, has unveiled its plans for the FREE May 28 and 29 festival in south Santa Clara County.
The two-day festival of family fun includes live entertainment on two stages, arts and crafts with a special “Artists Section” for fine arts & quality craft, gourmet offerings, a mushroom educational exhibit, cooking demonstrations, strolling musicians, street performers and several city blocks of booths with finds that include everything from carved wooden mushrooms to news that you can use. Munchkin Land is on track to captivate kids with rides, games and continuous entertainment.
New this year is a Premium Wine Tasting Event. The Premium Wine Tasting Event is a ticketed event for $25 which includes 12 tastings of award winning, premium wines and a souvenir wine glass with a private, elegant setting in the Rose Garden at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Cente
