Community Events

  1. Fall Tarantula Fest

    October 4, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Henry Coe State Park Headquarters

    Come to the Coe Park Tarantula Fest and rub elbows (so to speak) with some of our fuzzy, friendly eight-legged guests of honor. The event is held at the headquarters campground, which has breathtaking views across the ridges and canyons of the backcountry. With a meal ticket you can sit down and enjoy great home-cooked food at our barbecue. Take a leisurely nature walk with a volunteer naturalist and search for tarantulas or go on a geocaching hike. Enjoy live music by The Tarantulas, a jug band of musical Coe Park volunteers and friends. Hang out at our kids' activities table and create Tarantula Fest keepsakes. The ever popular snakes will be back this year. Wildlife Education Rehabilitation Center (W.E.R.C.) will also be there with an educational exhibit.

Wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Free re-usable bags. Every Wednesday morning.

    A fun night filled with swimming, dinner, games and crafts. This is a night you can leave your child knowing he/she will be safe and have a great time while you have an enjoyable evening out! Your child will be in responsible hands with the Kids' Club staff. Each session is based on a particular theme with games, activities and food according to the theme. This is a drop-off program. For ages 5 - 12 years old.

  1. Emergency Preparedness Training Class ~ Morgan Hill Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

    Morgan Hill (CERT) is offering a FREE 2 hour emergency preparedness class to be held the first Monday of every month at the Morgan Hill Police Department. The class will cover some of the basics including: Planning for an emergency that may affect you, your family or the community. What can be done to prepare for an emergency? What equipment, food and water is needed? How can we practice to help alleviate stress and errors? What has the City of Morgan Hill done to prepare for an emergency? This class is only open to residents of Morgan Hill.
