Oversized/Overweight Load Permit
An Oversized/Overweight
Load Permit is used in the
following instances.
Any person wishing to provide the service of moving extralegal
vehicles or loads over Public Streets. Commonly these types
of moves are of construction and building equipment, industrial
equipment, farming equipment, house moves, etc..
The Load Permit should be filled out and faxed to the Public
Works Department at (408)779-6282.

Street Sweeping Schedule
Street Sweeping in residential areas is scheduled for the
day after the yard trimmings and recycling collection day.
For example, if a home's yard trimmings and recycling day
is this Tuesday, they should expect to see the street sweeper
on Wednesday. Friday customers are served on Monday. All
vehicles, trailers, and other items should be removed from
the street on the street sweeping day in order to allow
the sweeper access to the curb and gutter. Only public streets
with curb and gutter get swept. Residents living on streets
that don't get swept will receive a discount on their South
Valley bill.
