FREE workshops are held each month at the Mount Madonna YMCA, 17666 Crest Avenue. Backyard Composting (yard trimmings and food waste) and Vermicomposting (composting with worms) are covered. A free compost bin is awarded to one lucky participant from each class. You must pre-register to attend. Join others in learning how to turn your grass, leaves, and kitchen scraps into a rich soil amendment - all in your own backyard! Workshops are sponsored by the City of Morgan Hill and the Home Composting Education Program of Santa Clara County.
