The Library Commission is a newly formed nine-member body
appointed by the City Council to advise on the adequacy of
library services, serve as a liaison between the City and
the Santa Clara County Library, consult with private community
groups supportive of library programs, and serve as liaison
between such groups and the City. A regular meeting schedule
will soon be established.
The Library Commission meets on the second Monday of each
month at 7:30 pm, and the Library Building Committee meets
as needed. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers and
are open to the public.
The proposed library will on the Civic Center site bordered
by DeWitt, Alkire and Main.
