The Morgan Hill City Council adopted a comprehensive
Environmental Agenda on September 19th, 2007. The Agenda contains a Mission, Vision Statement, Series of Guiding Principles, and Primary Subject Goals in the following areas:

- Community health
- Energy
- Green buildings
- Habitat conservation and enhancement
- Land and open space preservation
- Local resources and products
- Municipal government
- Pollution prevention
- Solid waste reduction and resource conservation
- Transportation
- Water supply
