Go Local
Morgan Hill Farmers' Market
Hours: Open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Location: Train Station at 3rd St. and Depot St.
Come in for a huge selection of flowers and plants, cherries and strawberries, asparagus, garden starter plants, greenhouse tomatoes, fresh ocean fish, and much more from local certified growers and producers. Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bag!
Buy In Season
Be aware of what's in season. By purchasing local food in season, you eliminate the environmental damage caused by shipping foods thousands of miles. For example, don't buy oranges from South America during the summer.
As an added bonus, your food dollar goes directly to the farmer, supporting the local economy, and your family will be able to enjoy the health benefits of eating fresh, unprocessed fruits and vegetables.
View the Buy Local Guide to find out what's in season in your area.
Join a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
CSAs allow you to create a relationship with a farm and receive fresh, in-season produce. By making a financial commitment to a farm, people become members of the CSA and receive a weekly or monthly basket of produce, flowers, fruits, eggs, milk, coffee, or any sort of farm products. Get more information on your local CSAs.
