Decks
Permits are required for decks that exceed 200 sq. ft. in area, are more than 30" above natural grade at any point, or that are attached to a dwelling.

Patio Covers
Patio covers exceeding 120 sq. ft., or that are attached to the house require a permit.

Sheds
Permits are required for accessory structures that exceed 120 sq. ft. of floor area, or that are attached to a dwelling.

Submittal Requirements

• Permit Application (PDF)
• Three complete sets of plans (on 11" x 17" minimum sized paper) including:
  • A Plot Plan showing project location and setbacks (Sample Plot Plan PDF)
  • Floor Plans with elevations and foundation/footing details
