Taxicab Driver Permit Instructions

Taxicab Drivers operating a taxicab on the streets of the City of Morgan Hill for the purpose of providing transportation services will require a Taxicab Driver Permit.

 Process

  • Submit a Taxicab Driver Permit Application (via email)
  • Submit the following application documents (via email)
    • Copy of current California Driver License
    • Copy of Drug Screen Test Results (with a negative result; taken within 1 year of application date)
    • Copy of a current Taxicab Driver Permit from another city within Santa Clara County or receipt of fingerprints taken for Morgan Hill Police Department
  • Pay Taxicab Driver Permit Fee (billed electronically)
  • The applicant will be notified when the Taxicab Driver Permit has been approved.  Picture and signature of applicant for the permit will be requested at the time of notification.

Please Note

Additional permits and licenses may be required and verification of Taxicab Company (company must have a Taxicab Company Permit with Morgan Hill Police Department) employment will be required.
