The City has previously developed a plan for a new park site at the southeast corner of the intersection of Monterey Road and Butterfield Boulevard. The City owns approximately 8 acres of property that it has designated for future park use. This property has been environmentally cleared for park use with designated amenities through a CEQA process. The City owns approximately 20 acres of adjacent property, however that property will not be considered in this request.
Over the past two years, the City has seen interest from prospective partners in the development of this property for the benefit of the community. The purpose of this invitation is to explore interest from these potential partners in the development and operation of park and recreation space.
